Rochester native, Annie Heath, is a creative researcher, choreographer, and dancer. Her collaborative, project-based company, Heath in Progress, has presented work in NYC, Massachusetts, and Vermont. H.i.P. has continued their development and creative process while traveling to Mazatlán, Mexico for a residency with Delfos Contemporary Dance Company. She has developed a creative module/workshop titled BodyWork & Mechanics that was taught in Mexico and Israel and has previously taught classes in Massachusetts at a collegiate level. Currently, Heath is dancing for Gabriella Carmichael and is the administrative intern for Donna Uchizono Company and a Teaching Assist/Teacher Training Program and Education Intern at Mark Morris Dance Group.Heath attended University of Massachusetts Amherst where she graduated with a dual degree in Dance and Environmental Science. During this time she had the opportunity to train with Vertigo Dance Company. Heath has worked with Matthew Westerby Company, Pavel Machuca, and Gabriella Carmichael, and has also performed notable works by Ohad Naharin, Noa Wertheim, Sidra Bell, Andrea Miller, Barak Marshall, Amy Seiwert, Antonio Brown, Jennifer Hart, Idan Cohen, and Camille A. Brown.
